Piper Wing Root Seal 12 Foot Piece
Perfect fit
Piper Wing Root Seal 12 Foot Piece
I wish there were reviews when I purchased this wing root seal. I put it out in the sun to loosen up the stiffness..it helped, a little. Do not buy this one, it is too stiff. Maybe get one of the others offered.
This stuff is vinyl, not neoprene rubber that Piper uses. Do not buy this product!
If you have a Piper Cherokee (PA-28) that needs a new wing root seal do NOT use this product. It is nearly impossible to install - it is much thicker than the original factory installed wing-root seal - and worst of all it wont last. I purchased and installed this product in 2016 - it took me almost five hours to install it on just one wing because the material is so thick I had a horrific time getting it to slip into the gap. Several weeks later I noticed it was already crazing in certain areas, in particular around the leading edge area of the wing root. After about 14 months it started to split in several areas. The interesting thing is that my ship is always hangared. If you need a wing root seal for your Piper Cherokee get the other one that is offered on AS, Part # 05-13058. That one is identical to the factory installed version.
Totally worthless. Difficult to install and is rotten and falling off my PA38-112 - cant fly until replaced. Just a little over a year old and parked most of the year in a shade hangar.
This wing root seal does not last. Airplane is based in Florida and is tied down outdoors. In less than 2 years, the seal is COMPLETELY DETERIORATED. The other side is an original that is nearly 30 years old and this new replacement looks even worse than the old one that I replaced. JUNK MATERIAL, do not waste your efforts to install this junk!

No, these are only sold in 12 foot lengths.
