I purchased this unit for the upcoming winter pre-heating needs. So I have not used the unit as of yet. After receiving it I did get it set up, mounted it on the wall in the hangar and tested the function of the Switchbox with the free app. It works great!

Just received my switchbox 4G. With one quick email the I was up and running in a matter of minutes. Instructional videos and App (android in this case) make it really simple to use. Really makes flying on cold days easy, when you dont have to drive to the airport twice. On a side note customer service at switchbox cared enough to get me set up after hours, not saying it can always happen that way but nice to have great service and a great product.
It took support from both t-mobile and the SwitchBox vendor to get it working. After a couple hours of troubleshooting it works great now.
I owned the original switch box which was great. It stopped working and I called the company They said it’s obsolete and I should buy a new one which I did Very disappointing One can no longer phone the unit to activate it The app does not send receive confirmation that switch box actually turned on or off The only work around is to send a text message with a complicated code to the unit Not sure the alternatives but would recommend looking for Competitors
