The ATS 3882-series Cylinder Base Nut Wrenches are made from forged alloy steel, tempered, and hardened for maximum strength. They also have an industrial chrome plating to improve surface wear, and protect against rust and corrosion. Their thin-wall construction guarantees they will fit nuts close to the cylinder casing without grinding down the wrench's outer diameter. And with a 15" span, they clear even the tallest cylinders. In fact, the 3882 Cylinder Base Wrenches address just about every concern of the previous 2882 series, while including several enhancements to make your work easier. They also carry the ATS Pro lifetime warranty, so they may very well be the last cylinder wrenches you'll ever have to purchase. |

ATS 3882-5 Cylinder Base Wrench Kit
Reasonable cost and super tough wrenches
ATS 3882-5 Cylinder Base Wrench Kit
Worked fine on my IO 520 with just a bit of grinding on the 5/8 wrench.
A lot better then the other base nut wrenches
These wrenches are advertised as being redesigned so they will fit better. Unfortunately they still have to be ground down to fit the smaller continental O-200 thru O-300 engines. Should have saved my money and stuck with the cheaper set.
Bought these instead of the cheaper set because they were advertised to fit better. Still had to grind on both the 9/16” and 5/8” to make fit. Unfortunately took too much off the 9:16” and it broke first try. I’ll buy the cheap set now.
These base nut wrenches do not seat on a lycoming IO-360 nut.
