The price everybody charges for this simple tool is beyond stupid high. They know you need it, and they make you pay to get it. No scruples, no shame. Nearly a hundred dollar bill for a bent piece of aluminum. And this is the cheap version. Sheesh!

This tool lasted for eight years with all kinds of student abuse at our A and P school. It took only one student not paying attention to break it. If it were made of steel a student could break it.

Aluminum... Its more expensive and weaker than steel??? Wonder who was the genius behind that!!!!

The tool comes with a sticker applied to the handle that says to be sure to break loose any stuck valve stem retainer's before using this tool. Mine were stuck and I didn't heed the warning on the tool. I broke the tool. The tool fits the Lycoming IO-360 engine perfectly and is very ergonomic but the tool is cast aluminum and won't hold up to much abuse.

The valve compressor did the job, but the lever had a significant bend to it when I finished. The lever was only used once. I’m not sure it will last a second time. The aluminum is too soft.

Broken after 7-8 uses. Aluminum alloy will not hold up over time. Manufacture this out of steel, and it would be good tool. Otherwise, not worth the buy.
