Q: What is the appropriate antenna cable for the transponder with a 6 ft run?
You have the option of RG 400 or RG 58 coax cable. RG 400 is a higher quality cable but either will work.

No, the Skyview system is not TSO'd and is intended for experimental aircraft.
Q: Are the D-sub pins on the Dynon cables standard or high density pins?
They are standard density pins.

No, this system is not FAA Approved and is intended for use in experimental aircraft only.

Unfortunately, this unit cannot be installed in a certificated aircraft even as a back up. Please see the certified G5 for a qualifying unit.

Q: Can I fit a 7 inch Dynon Skyview HDX into a D180 opening in my panel and what is the depth of Skyview?
The dimensions of the 7" skyview 7.64" wide, 5.59" high, and 3.13" deep. The cutout for a FlightDEK D-180 are 6.780 wide and 4.750 tall, whereas the 7-inch skyview needs a cutout of 6.97 x 5.35 so the existing panel cutout would need to be slightly enlarged.

No, this new Skyview system would require a new Dynon harness.

No. The displays do not have ADS-B out or Com radio built in. These are optional add-on features and can be configured in your system. We recommend contacting our Avionics Sales team for a price quote on a custom Dynon SkyView system.
Q: Are there worldwide maps on EFIS for navigation?
The only world wide maps available for the HDX system are low resolution terrain maps. Base and high resolution maps are done by the region.
Q: What is the difference between the Sky View Touch and the Sky View HDX? Is the touch basically the same only with the touch screen capability?
The Skyview HDX has a higher definition screen than the Skyview touch, it also has an angled knob control as opposed to the Touch having a flat control panel.
Q: In regards to part number 10-06254. The SV-HARNESS-D37, is this a harness that is fabricated by Aircraft Spruce or is it an original part from Dynon? Ive heard that harnesses that are made by Aircraft Spruce do not follow the coloring convention of Dynon.
This harness is a dynon stock harness. We do not fabricate harnesses for the dynon display. While the dynon harnesses we do fabricate do not follow the color code that dynon uses, we laser mark our wire to provide a clean and easily identifiable label for installers.
Q: Are these Dynon Skyview HDX Systems for certified aircraft?
No, the items for sale on this page are intended for experimental aircraft installation only. For certified installations, the equipment must be purchased from the installation shop.
Q: Can the Dynon systems display ADS-B data from a uAvionix SkySensor?
Per the installation manual, this will only connect via wifi to a tablet running specific EFB applications.
Q: Concerning ADAHRS-DUAL #10-04018, does it include the mounting kit #11-14152 and the Network Splitter #10-03948?
No it does not. Those will be a separate purchases.
Q: How are the supplied harnesses terminated on each ends for the SV-XPNDR-261 kit #11-11953 and the Skyview ADSB #11-11938, pins crimped or not, connectors assembled or not?
The xndr side of this harness will be complete. The other side will be bare wire.
Q: Does the engine monitor have the ability to tell you how many degrees lean of peak you are?
Although it does display lean of peak, it does not display percentage.

We can only sell the Dynon Skyview for install in experimental aircraft. For certified aircraft, it must be purchased from the installer.

No, you are required to add on the ADAHRS module, such as part number 10-03936.
Q: Does the Skyview HDX display come with tray?
his does not mount with a tray. To mount a SkyView display, cut an appropriately sized rectangular opening in your panel, drill out the mounting holes, and use the included mounting screws to fasten the display to the panel.
Q: What Canadian charting options are compatable with the experimental HDX?
Dynon recommends Airmate or Jeppessen for yearly subscriptions for non-US customers.
Q: What is needed to change when replacing a D180 with a Sky View? What other parts are required to make it work?
Per Dynon: You will need to purchase the Skyview display plus the necessary probes and network cables for the functions you wish to have.
Q: Do I need the comm control head and the Transponder control head with the skyview HDX800 if I buy the remote units? It appears that the Dynon system will control both?
Yes and no, for the remote transponder, that can be controlled with the HDX800 display without the separate control head, but for the remote comm, that requires the SV-COM-PANEL control head.
