This GPS receiver provides lots of useful information for Adventures and Pilots.
It's small enough to hold in a person's hand or become a part of a keychain (just over 2.5″ x 2″ and 1.4 oz.), and always works, even when the cell network is down (or the phone, forgotten.) AirLite GPS is designed to be a very inexpensive personal navigation tool, offering features useful for pilots, adventurers, and hikers. With its very sensitive and quick-acquiring GPS module, it can track up to 14 satellites simultaneously. By setting a Point Of Interest (waypoint) at the start of a hike or flight, you can always return back, or you can plot a course to your next destination. Alternatively, setting a waypoint at the North Pole is a wonderful compass hack, providing accurate directional tracking with no compass deviation. The included timer and distance tracker is also very useful. All in all, AirLite GPS is useful, inexpensive, and fun to use. |
