This powerful 24-volt electric aircraft tug will fit and move any nose wheel airplane up to 4,000 lbs. without wheel fairings as well as those with wheel fairings that have 3" or greater of clearance from the fairing to the ground. It utilizes a smooth thumb throttle speed control for precise forward and reverse movements. The built in differential allows for easier turning and even better control!

I have owned one of these for 10 years now and I just love it!!! No gasoline to worry about. The batteries stay charged a long time. Marine type deep cycle. Very powerful, very wonderful. Buy and enjoy forever!!!
The unit has great control functions, automatic charge features, and is easy to maneuver. However, the tires have little traction on smooth concrete. Pushing down on the handle bars to put weight on the tires for better traction ended up bending the frame.
The handle is quite weak and bent with only small amount of pressure. The tug does not have enough traction on smooth concrete and requires some down pressure to get some traction. This is the problem because the handle will bend when you apply any down force. I am not sure what to do about this issue, perhaps fabricate a steel handle that is stronger.

As long as your aircraft is less than 5000lbs and you have at least 3 inches of clearance between the wheel pant (if installed) and the ground it will work. It does pick up the tire rather than using the hooks on the gear.
Yes, this tug will work for c-172 without wheel pants. This will work for aircraft up to 4000 lbs
