This is a great system to use when painting. Fresh air and it helps keep you cool when all suited up. Only drawback is the hose does coil up on itself. I am storing it all laid out straight but it could up when I am walking around.
Hobbyair I With (Full Mask)
It is nice having fresh air when I am painting. Having fresh air pumped in sure beats trying to breathe in normal filtered masks.
Hobbyair I With (Full Mask)
I paint my own motorcycles parts like tanks, fenders and frames. I build a small paint booth and with this mask and fresh air coming in I smell nothing!! The only issue I have is the mask is a little small but if I use my old glasses I’m ok.
Hobbyair I With (Full Mask)
The ease it is to spray paint now Blows me away!! Visibility Crystal clear Nothing but fresh Air, If you need one Buy it! Im glad I did.
Hobbyair I With (Full Mask)
Great little machine good variable flow. wish I could replace the hepa filter with a full chemical type filter in case any contaminants make it over to the machine…maybe they have something for that but at aircraft spruce they didn’t know anything.
Hobbyair I With (Full Mask)
The product works amazing. Im using it when i use 2 stage paint and want to protect my lungs.
Hobbyair I With (Full Mask)
I have difficulty breathing through a regular mask. this unit makes it so able to be in that environment. A respirator that you have to pull air through contains a portion of already used air this system keeps fresh air immediately available I love it. Respirators @30$ apiece, will let this unit pay for itself soon enough
This unit is the best tool I’ve bought. I use it for everything, painting with ISO’s or not, sandblasting, sanding body filler, etc. The money you save on charcoal filters and particlulate filters means it eventually pays for itself. Plus you can let friends borrow it in exchange for beer. These things are built to last.
very portable, does the job needed, keeping me healthy
Excellent product quiet running motor

Per the supplier: The Hobbyair has a HEPA filter. The system is designed to deliver fresh / clean air from somewhere other than the area you are working in. This is why we make our systems with hose lengths from 40 to 160 feet long. If you locate the air pump in fresh air, then, yes, the system will deliver fresh air to your hood or mask all day. The HEPA filter will filter out dust etc. that are in the (fresh) air. I hope that helps.
400 watts would be required to run the system.
No, this is a one person unit with 2 hoses at 40', totalling 80'. The 2-person unit is the Buddy System like part number 12-15870.
Hobbyair 1 has 40' of hose, and the Hobbyair 2 has 80' of hose to the mask.
Yes, you could use it while working with fiberglass.
Per Vendor: "The turbine we use for our respirators has an appropriate (much lower) volume for breathing. Trying to breathe through a sprayer turbine would be very hot and way too much air."
It should work with a goatee, but it would depend on if its extremely long, braided, etc etc. We do have a hood that works with this system, it is part number 12-03319.
Clean with an anti-bacterial soap and allow to dry before storage.
Yes, this has a speed control so can increase the amount of air.
