Q: Is the GMC 507 compatible with my Aspen? Will it work with my ancient Century III autopilot?
No, this is only intended for use with the Garmin G3X system in experimental aircraft.

No, this is intended for use in experimental aircraft only.
Q: What is the difference between the Garmin GMC 507 and the 307? Will this work with 2 G5s or do I have to have a G3X?
The GMC 507 uses canbus for communication and has an extra TRK feature. The GMC 307 uses RS232 for communication. If you are using 2 G5's, per the manufacturer the GMC 507 is preferred.

No, we can only sell this item for experimental aircraft only.
Q: Online garmin sells a certificated version of the 507. Can’t that be used for autopilot control of the G3x in a certificated plane?
There is an FAA Approved version of this, however, this version, part # 11-16219 is the experimental version and cannot be installed in certified aircraft.
Q: What else has to be purchased to install the 507 and servos?
This autopilot is meant to work with the G3X system and the GMC 507 allows for dedicated autopilot controls.
Q: Is there mounting hardware that must be purchased separately?
Yes, Per Manual G3X/G3X Touch Rev AL, Page 14-1: The connector Kit P/N 11-16220 is required to install the unit. Please note: This unit is intended for use with the Garmin G3X System.
Q: Is the GMC 507 can be used with high torque servo from Trutrak Autopilot?
Garmin has their own servos that are required per the installation manual.

This version of the GMC 507 is for experimental aircraft only. Certified versions must be purchased from the install shop.

This will only work with the Garmin Autopilot system.

Per the manufacturer aside from the controller, you will need a G5 to drive it.

The aera 660/760 are capable of connecting to an autopilot in an experimental application.

We cannot sell this unit for certified aircraft installations. Certified installs must purchase from the authorized Garmin install shop. We sell the G3X system for experimental aircraft only.

The cutout is the same. 6.25 inches X 2.10 inches. The difference is in the depth.
Q: Is there an install kit when connecting too 2 x G5s instead of the G3X?
It would use the same connector kit.

This is only the control head. The connector kit is a separate item.

The GSA28 servos can be used to control aircraft electric trim motors.
Q: One of the questions asks about interfacing with the Garmin 375 GNX. The answer says that that it does not integrate with that. However, the Garmin website specifically states it can be integrated with the 375. Per Garmin: We are having trouble understanding the exact question here. If it is, can the GNX 375 can be connected directly to an autopilot? Then the answer is no.
Q: Do you sell the GMC 307 install rack per Garmin manual? The GMC 507 Install Rack (115-02774-00) is to be used when installing the GMC 507 unit into a radio stack.
The rack is not included. We do offer it under part number # 11-19441.
Q: Can this device be driven by an MGL Avionics iefis explorer wich also has a can bus communication network instead of the Garmin G5?
No this will not. per MGL tech
