I was in Summerland Key Florida when my battery died. I could have gotten the airplane started but the trip to my home 650+ NM from home required one fuel stop. I did not want to risk having a problem restarting after the fuel stop. It is rare that one is able to get products shipped to the lower Keys in a timely fashion. Spruce guaranteed shipment and delivered on the promise that I would be able to fly home on Monday. The Battery worked perfectly on initial startup and hot startup at the fuel stop.

Perfect fit in my 210B, unlike Concorde which required trimming the upper plastic extrusion on top to fit in the battery box. Prompt delivery, excellent packaging.

This Gil battery is a preemptive replacement for one I bought from Aircraft Spruce over 3.5 years ago and has given me out standing service over that time.

Do not buy a Concorde, this one is cheaper and is as good. The Concorde G35 I bought at a premium price lasted exactly 8 hours. Concorde Tech Support is a joke. I think like most companies, Concorde, once they were known for a great product let quality fall. I will NEVER buy or suggest to my clients at my FBO ever buy Concorde. I have never had a problem with Gill.

The 7035-28 sealed battery is a great alternative to the original 12v flooded battery. It has significantly greater cranking power, and I have had no clean-up issues like I had with flooded batteries.

Direct replacement for my Cherokee 140. Slight movement in the box compared to the G-35. Watch out when tightening down the terminals as the plastic handle may prevent the terminal from seating correctly. I simply lifted the handle up tigtened the terminal and then rested the handle above them. Solid battery, my stobe light seemed way blinding during preflight and starter cranks without groan.

Just received and installed new battery. Shipping time was shorter than expected and packaging was good. Cant say much about product since several years usually need to elapse for comparisons of batteries to be meaningful. Ive gotten 5 years use from previous Gill unsealed batteries and if their sealed battery does as well or better Ill be satisfied.

Arrived quickly and in good condition and charge. Taller than original G35 battery by 1/4 inch which prevented box top from setting evenly.

as far as providing the needed voltage, So far so good. Battery installation was quick and easy. It fit perfect in the PA28-180 battery box with no problems

Battery arrived promptly and well packaged. Battery is supplied with threaded posts in terminals that can be replaced with bolts. Allen wrench is supplied to removed studs. Battery was installed in a 1979 Piper Warrior with original fiberglass battery box. Using a flat washer, lock washer, and two-eared retaining nut it was found that the nut would barely thread on to the stud to fasten the battery cable. Did not attempt to raise the threaded stud to gain more threads - used thinner flat washers. Then, when securing battery box cover, it was found that due to the increased height of the battery the cover now fit very tightly over the top of the battery, especially at the rear. Should be no battery movement at all. I have used Gill batteries exclusively. The first two (lead acid) lasted 7 years each. I tried the previous iteration of a VR (maintenance-free) battery but it lasted less than 2 years (and the Gill rep I spoke with admitted it was not a very long-life battery). The last lead-acid battery, which this maintenance-free battery is replacing, also lasted only 2 years.

Tried the sealed battery thinking I would get a longer life than a wet battery. No such luck . Not saying they are bad just not better. I hear stories how Concordes last 6-7 yrs. To be fair the cold winters of Mn might have something to do with it. I do however take my battery out of my plane in the cold months and put it in my heated office

I went from a gill wet cell to this one as the “ introductory “ price was hard to turn down. The upside to this is it is sealed ( no potential mess). The downside in my case is that it doesn’t last that long. I have had mine for just over 3 yrs and it needs replaced. My old wet cell gills lasted around five years with proper maintenance. I will still buy the sealed variety however as I like the fact I’m not potentially spilling acid in my plane. What the heck- anything under a grand in aviation is nothing . 😂 Well at least I tell myself that

Purchased and installed March 2021, battery quit working and is testing bad as of October 2023. So it failed after 2 years and 7 months. I fly about twice a month and airplane is kept on a battery tender in a temperature controlled hanger. My previous battery lasted 8 years. I am 7 months outside the warranty….. can’t say I recommend this battery.

Really disappointed in the Gill sealed battery. Lasted 2.5 years. Supposed to be comparable to the Concorde- not close . I’m going back to the wet Gill

This battery brand is a complete POS. It will only last about 12 months. With 2 planes and 4 helicopters I am battery broke. I’m sorry, they just don’t last for me. The warranty isn’t worth the headache either.

My last Gill Sealed Battery 7035-28 lasted 23 months in my C182 here in mild Southern California. The 2-year warranty has so many hoops to jump through that it was easier just to buy a replacement. However, the handle came off of the replacement battery while removing it from the box. Unfortunately, the form factor of the Gill is the only design that will fit in my battery box. But at this point, I am considering a new battery box so I can avoid Gill batteries altogether.
