Precision Pacmo Piper N 5/8 Center Windshield Mounting Bracket

October 31, 2024

Fitted to a 1963 Cherokee 180B to replace a broken (custom made?) bracket with an E2B (2 1/4 /57mm cutout) compass. I drilled out all the fixing holes 4mm, and new holes had to be drilled in the windshield centre spine (a 90 degree drill chuck adaptor is required unless you want to remove your windshield), but otherwise very straighforward to fit. The vibration damper, although crude, appears to work extremely well.

Best plan using this for vertical compass card mount on pipers with 2 piece window installed. Magnetic deviation makes this necessary.

Fit the Piper Cherokee windshield post with no adjustment needed. Has good damping for aircraft vibration.
