Have purchased various other brand LED landing lights including a variety of other Whelen landings lights. These are the brightest and best lights thus far we have used in our flight school aircraft. So good we upgraded and spent thousands to upgrade other already LED equipped aircraft to this specific light. 100% satisfied!

Whelen Parmetheus Pro Par 36 LED Light For Part 23
Trust me when I say I know GA lighting. I have tested and used them all. From the first generation Whelen PAR36 LEDs. I have upgrade to the PLUS units and even tested the aero-lites ultra, but these new PROs are incredible. The beam is very direct and can focus light better than any other LED. The optics are part of the key. They may seem pricey, but once you experience the output youll be hooked. Currently using these on a C172 in the wing. I do a ton of night flying, and I have never seen the runway so well illuminated.
Installed a pair of these on my 2007 172SP G1000 to replace my old and dim factory HID lights and the difference is unbelievable. These things light up the runways and taxiways like a floodlight! Makes night landings safer than ever before and light up the taxiways extremely well.
NOT A DROP-IN REPLACEMENT for Piper PA-28-180 An amazing light and works very well with my 1972 Piper Cherokee Challenger PA-28-180. However, the light is not a drop-in replacement to the GE landing light in the fiberglass cowl due to the presence of cooling fins at the back of this lamp. My A&P had to work on the fins to get the light to fit into the cowling. Awesome product but not a drop-in replacement.
