Propellers have a life separate from their engines. They have an inspection cycle of their own. They're usually inspected, repaired, and overhauled by facilities different from engines.
Technical logbooks form the core of the familiar Canadian aircraft technical record keeping system. The logs are three-hole drilled for keeping in a ring binder or Tech Log Book. Vary the number of engine and prop volumes for multi-engine aircraft. The 5 sections are ordered separately, depending on the number of engines, props, etc. Each tech record can be bound with all the others into the Tech Log Binder to make up the complete aircraft Technical Record. When bound together, the entire log is almost indestructible, yet each record can be removed easily for updating at any time. |

New Canadian logs are needed when importing a US airplane.

ATP Aircraft Technical Log Section 4 Propeller
This is a fantastic recordkeeping tool that fits nicely in any three ring binder. It has approximately 25 pages for detailed maintenance data entry. Make sure and purchase all of the technical record logs that your aircraft requires IE propeller log, engine log, airframe log. I would highly recommend this item but whatever you do, do not pay $35 for the aircraft technical record binder. I would pick up a binder from your local office store and label it.
ATP Aircraft Technical Log Section 4 Propeller
What can I say, its a logbook. Has all the required sections and information to comply with Canadian law, but it should come with more pages. This will run out soon.
