Ive had mine since 2013 and still going strong. Ive never noticed issues with accuracy or precision. It disappears in my inspection kit and in a shirt pocket. I wish it also had a depth gauge.
A great little pocket caliper. Ive used it in the field for about 5 years and when I dont want to bring the Mitutoyo. Ive had no issues with repeatability.
I wanted this for checking material thickness when out shopping. Something I could keep in my pocket without ripping holes through. The readings are so variable and imprecise, I do not trust these for even hobby projects. 1- Not precise. Every measurement on the same material is always a bit different. 2- Requires an odd battery that is half the thickness of the battery normally used in most electronic calipers. 3- Requires a piece of tape over the battery lid so it does not randomly pop off. It is not a matter of cost. I would pay much more for an accurate, lightweight pocket friendly digital caliper. ... without fractions.
