Flip the plane over. You'll need 2 AA batteries. They fit in the rectangular compartment between the two screws. There is one screw in the tail and one screw in the nose near the speaker. Remove them both and the bottom pops off. Install batteries in the rectangular compartment, replace bottom half of the plane and re-install the two screws.
The dimensions are 6-inch x 6-inch.
