Overview

Eye bolts are special purpose bolts to be used where external tension loads are to be applied. The eye is designed for attachment of such devices as a turnbuckle fork, a clevis or a cable shackle. Manufactured and plated in same manner as AN3 - AN8 bolts . Minimum tensile strength 125, 000 PSI . Eye bolts will be furnished with either drilled or undrilled shank. Add letter "A" after dash number for undrilled shank.

Shank 3/16" Hole 3/16" Thread 10-32.
For "Undrilled" use "A" at end of part number.
All drilled bolts will be drilled shank.

Q: What is meant by nominal length and grip length? I need several eye bolts that will penetrate into wood about 1 1/8 with room to attach a nut at one end.

Nominal length refers to the length from the bottom of the head to the bottom of the thread. Grip length is from the bottom of the head to the start of the thread. We have added a drawing in the "Reference Drawing" tab which will give show these lengths.
