Overview

12 Volt 2 Amp (12V 2A) Charger/Maintainer/Desulfator for All Sizes and Brands of 12 Volt AGM Lead-Acid Batteries. The newest 12-volt, 2 amp, BatteryMINDer® features the latest microprocessor controller, making it a true 5-stage, fully automatic Plug 'n' Run charger/maintainer/desulfator for all sizes/brands of 12 volt AGM lead-acid batteries. No buttons to press — the diagnostic LED indicators display the battery's condition and actual state-of-charge profile. This charger actively monitors your battery's voltage, amperage acceptance and temperature at all times. Working through a series of charging and diagnostics stages, the internal program adjusts its output several times a second based on sensor reading to quickly and correctly charge your battery. When used as a maintainer, the BatteryMINDer is guaranteed to maximize your battery's life and storage capacity. The temperature compensated long-term float (maintenance) stage can add years of service, and patented full-time pulse desulfation is designed to reverse and eliminate battery sulfation, the #1 cause of early battery failure. Not designed for aviation batteries. **Not for aviation use**

The RF desulfate function is critical and no other system can do it

These things dont work miracles, but I have revived at least 50% of the heavily abused and otherwise dead 105ah AGM batteries I have used these chargers on. I havent managed to kill one of the 8 chargers we have yet and they have all be charging a battery every minute since I purchased them over a year ago.

On Wednesday, August 03, 2016 I was given 2 discarded Caterpillar CAT 153-5656 Starter Batteries (650A CCA, 100AMP HR, 18Kgs/39Lbs) which came from a CAT 6 Cylinder Stand-by Generator. I was hopeful they were merely flat but could be rejuvenated. Much to my dismay, they both measured 11.7VDC. An initial 10 minute connection of both batteries to a conventional 25A Battery conventional charger totally failed to deliver any useful charge current and after a few minutes of disconnection from the charger the terminal voltage dropped back to 11.7VDC. At this point I had given up hope of recovering the batteries and accepted they were both unrecoverable and would have to be disposed of. Being a persistent kind of guy, I decided against initial hope, and thought to give the BatteryMINDer a try at the job. On initial connection of BatteryMINDer to one of the batteries, the batterys terminal voltage dropped gradually to 11.5VDC, and after about 20 minutes it had risen to 12.3VDC, but the charger was becoming very warm. I wasnt confident the battery could have been recovered and didnt want to expose the BatteryMINDer to any damage of over heating or short circuit. I recalled an article I had seen in an edition of Popular Mechanics magazine many years ago, where a designer spoke well of paralleling a conventional battery charger with a pulse type charger to accelerate the recharging process during desulphation. So I decided to connect the conventional 25A Battery charger in parallel with the BatteryMINDer. Now with both chargers connected and working, the initial terminal voltage of one battery was 13.9VDC at 22A charge rate and in 3 hours the terminal voltage of battery was 14.3VDC at 1.5A charge rate. At this point the 25A charger switched to maintenance mode, thereafter leaving the BatteryMINDer to continue the desulphation process as it later also switched to float mode. The following day, I repeated the process with the other battery and now both batteries are both back to health and good working condition, thanks to the BatteryMINDer. What a great engineering feat this low cost charger represents!!!. I have paralleled both batteries and will keep them on the BatteryMINDer for the next 72 hours to complete the desulphation process. Thanks again BatteryMINDer.
