Overview

The CI 2580-200 is Comant’s newest ComDat VHF/GPS antenna designed specifically to meet the GPS WAAS Gamma 3 specifications required by the Garmin G1000 system. The patented technology provides 80 dB of VHF harmonic suppression offering VHF and GPS in one radome without in-line filters. Gamma 3 WAAS allows for primary navigation using GPS for all phases of flight including precision LPV approaches.

This antenna (CI-2580200) has tested and passed demanding direct effects lightning environmental testing. Not intended for portable GPS receiver systems.

Q: Will this Comant CI 2580-200 antenna work with the Garmin G5?

According to the installation manual, this antenna would not be supported by the G5.

Q: Will this antenna work with the new Garmin GNX 375?

Per the installation manual, yes, this antenna can be used for the GPS.

Q: Will this Comant CI2580-200 antenna work with a Garmin GTN650?

Yes. This antenna will work.

Q: According to the Garmin GDL 82 manual this antenna is indeed approved.

Part # 11-11545 is listed in GDL 82 installation manual as an acceptable GPS Antenna. Verified in Rev 5 installation manual.

Q: Is it compatible with GNS 430 non WAAS (plan on replacing with IFD 440 in future)?

For the non waas application you will need 11-05850.

Q: Does this antenna come with a gasket or does that need to be ordered separately? Also, does it come with a doubler?

Only the antenna is included in the box.

Q: Does the CI 2580-200 have the same foot print as the CI 121 antenna?

The CI-2580-200 is a tad bit longer, however the hole layout is the same. 1.75X1.625

Q: Do you supply a 8130-3 or EASA Form 1 with the antenna? What are the shipping costs to Germany?

8130-3 can be requested at time of order for an additional fee. Shipping costs are quoted in the shopping cart once the destination country is selected.

Q: Will CI2580-200 work with a GNS420W?

This will work for the WAAS GPS and COM

Q: What is the max speed rating for this antenna? We are looking at the possibility to install this on a high-performance aircraft flying above 400 knots. If this exceeds the limitation of this antenna does aircraft spruce have an antenna with GPS & Com all in one for higher-performance aircraft?

Comant no longer provides a definitive speed rating. The antenna will work with light and heavy weight single engine aircraft as well as helicopters.
