2 Channel PWM (pulse wave modulation) dimmers are ideal for controlling more than one bank of LED or incandescent lighting, such as 2-color LED light strips or any combination of lighting (panel lighting, overhead map lights, foot well lighting, etc.). Each rheostat controls a separate lighting channel and contains its own On/Off switch (in the fully counterclockwise position)
1.5 Amp per channel version (12-14VDC systems) controls up to 18W per channel 7 Amp per channel version (12-14VDC systems) control up to 97W per channel and adds over-current protection and dual independent heat sinks Ideal for LED or incandescent lighting Dual rheostat shafts permit independent control of each channel Screw-down terminals for easy connection of input and output wires Powerful enough to operate a wide range of lighting products High-quality push-on knob. Shaft length accommodates panel widths to 5mm |

The switch works good and is built way better than the original switches that were designed many years ago.
Two(2) Channel Pwm Dimmer 12 Volt
Now submitting a review after installing my new 2 channel dimmer switch. I works great with my LEDs on both channels. I wish that I could submit a photo so that you can see the difference between the old switch and the new higher power switch. The new switch has big cooling heat sinks, much heaver circuitry and a little bit longer control stem threaded area so that it can be secured to a thicker dash material. From my observation this switch is an excellent switch where the old one in the past was lacking in in some areas. RV3B
My last 2 channel dimmer switch lasted 10 years and one of the channels quit so I purchased a new switch which I received on August 29, 2024, The new switch is much better built than the old one. It has about 5 times the rated amps per channel. It is designed so that you can accidently wire it wrong, {positive on the negative} and it will NOT destroy the switch, it just wont work. It has an over voltage protection set at 16 volts so it will shut off to protect the parts and turn back on after the voltage is dropped back lower than 16 volts. I will send an update after I put it in and test it with my LEDs. Aircraft RV3B
Two(2) Channel Pwm Dimmer 12 Volt
I see a lot of reports of failure here. I originally purchased one of these in 2015 to drive two LED strips for panel and flood lights in my RV-8. It worked flawlessly for several hundred flight hours (probably 10-20 hours actual lighting) and 5 elapsed years. I recently purchased a replacement after I physically damaged the original during a panel upgrade. The new one has added heat sinks on the transistors which should help. Here is my issue. The new replacement has slightly wider placement of the two POTs, requiring me to remake a panel overlay. I may return the product and make my own PWM which is a very simple circuit.
Right out of the box, one channel sputters and blinks in the lower 30% or so of its range. I swapped my red and white LED segments and confirmed that its the drivers and not the load causing this. Disappointed and wouldnt buy again.
Installed dual channel unit to control strip lighting. Worked great for 5 hours, then one channel lost its low end range. Doesnt come on until too bright to be useable at night.
one side quit in 10hr total failure in 300hrs
This unit was defective right out of the box. I hooked it up, and it will control 2 channels of LED strip lights. When I mounted it in the panel, the unit grounds out and both channels go out. Unusable.

The fuse or breaker size is determined by the load. For most installations it would be quite small - 1 amp or 2 amps.
