ACK E-04 Whip Antenna

ACK E-04 Whip Antenna
a perfect replacement for the original antenna
ACK E-04 Whip Antenna
This was a replacement for the original that the plastic totally fractured. I live in the northwest, plane always hangared, not left in the sun very often. I think the plastic base was of a poor quality. I also had a failure on my revious ACK ELT. I would buy a different brand next time.

The supplemental ground plane must have a minimum diameter of 24" however 48 will provide maximum power at 121.5 MHz and is highly recommended. This antenna is 20.625" long.
To comply with the TSO installation instructions the external antenna will require replacement as well.

Yes, as the new ELTs transmit both 121.5 and 406. however typically ELT antennas should be for the brand ELT that is installed. It is not recommended to use an ACK E-04 antenna for another brand ELT.
