When my JPI 830s manifold pressure indication failed due to an engine backfire, I researched obtaining the Motorola sensor inside the JPI MP sensor housing. (Its an MPX2202A and used to cost about $12). Theyve been out of production for about 8 years and are only obtainable in large quantities from Taiwan. When your sensor fails( and you end up spending $270 to replace a $12 device) , instead of tearing apart your MP sense lines, just unscrew the 3 tiny screws on your JPI units sensor and replace it with the one inside this new one. It makes the process much simpler.

This JPI MAP sensor replaced the original JPI sensor that was installed with my JPI-830 from 13 yrs ago. If this replacement lasts as long as the original, Id be grateful. It came with the T-fitting, but I only needed the sensor. The new sensor threaded right into the original T-fitting upon engine start, JPI MAP readings came to life and the readings matched the original steam gauge still installed in the panel.

When a prior unit failed within 30 days, Aircraft Spruce worked with JPI to get a replacement under warranty. Their service was exceptional.
Came without the plug for the sensor. Catalog should specify the part number(s) without and with the plug. I’ve been waiting over a week for the plug direct from JPI now.... not a normally stocked plug at our avionics shop
Doesn’t come with a plug for the sensor itself. Had to call JPI direst for a plug
Solved the problem. JPI provided test procedures to verify failure of old unit. Cost is outrageous compared to intrinsic appearance of a small molded piece of black plastic, but cheaper than buying direct from JPI.
Very poorly designed. For the cost of this thing, it is very fragile. The pins inside of it will bend if you are not very careful plugging the cable in. If that happens, you will need to replace the unit. It is not repairable.

This is the replacement sensor part for the JPI MAP (using the JPI MAP harness you already have. If you want the complete MAP you will need to order 10-04512.
No, the part # 11-03348 only works with 730/800/30. Part # 10-06238 is the correct part for the JPI EDM 900.
