A warning. Download the instructions. Within it warns against bends with less than a 1 radius! This was fine for the unit shipped with an Aluminum tube, but UNABLE for the unit shipped with a steel tube. I did not note the difference until too late, and the steel tube broke well before a 1 radius. They are shipped both ways according to ASS Co.
I too have been waiting for weeks to receive the sender and gauge. Received the sender this week but the gauge is still backordered. I assumed it came with the warning light for the panel, as that was a main issue. As designing circuits is out of my ability, I would appreciate Aircraft Spruce aiding me in this area. Could you at least get me in touch with someone that can provide me with components not supplied with those I ordered. Yall do a great job and Im always satisfied with the items I order, but could use your help on this issue. Thanks, Chris
I bought 2 of these for my wing tanks. They seem to more or less work, except both top out at about 3.7V output, not 5V. The matching 0-5V gage therefore cant ever indicate more than 3/4 tank. Installed in a standard 12V system.
After waiting 2 months for the backordered model with the low fuel warning light option to be shipped, it arrived with no installation instructions or other paperwork. According to the documents which should have been included (which I had to download) there should also have been an LED light included for connection to the low level warning circuit but there was nothing in the packaging but the fuel probe. I will now have to try to find an appropriate LED and design the circuit (appropriate sized resistor) in order to take advantage of the warning light feature. Im not impressed with the overall purchase of this item but after waiting 2 months for the order to ship Ill install as is and move on.
