Flight Data G-Meter GT50 12/28
Installed this on my PA22-160 to replace a broken clock and a air temp sensor I had dangling out the window vent. Great product for the price and is now the only modern instrument I have on my panel. Easy install.

G meter works great. Apparently I pass out somewhere around 7 Gs
Flight Data G-Meter GT50 12/28
It works as advertised. No issues.
Very nice unit with good function, good looks, easy to use and easy to install. I replaced an analog clock with this digital clock, timer, g-meter and am very pleased. Current draw is extremely low so no concern about battery drain over long periods of inactivity.
A VFR plane needs to tell time. Since my plane does not have IFR capability this makes it great to tell time and have outside air temperature while one flies. My wife is constantly saying what time is it now I can show her in ZULU time.
Perfect replacement for a crusty old Cessna analog clock. Nice to have a clock that is always accurate and the timer is simple to use for IFR ops.
Ive had one installed for the past year as a replacement clock in my Bonanzas panel 2 cutout. Its the first thing I look at when I enter the airplane, checking the voltage of the battery before the master is turned on. It is perhaps the best value of anything in my panel. The burnt orange background illumination when power is applied is perfect, even at night. Its the dimmest thing in the panel at night and is perfectly clear. The one thing that Id suggest to the manufacturer as an improvement would be a legend as to the function currently selected, but thats just a nit being picked.
Perfect for the application

Per the supplier: The customer will need two things: 1) OAT probe part # 10-03694. 2) Extension wire between the probe and the instrument. We recommend 22 or 24 gauge single conductor shielded wire for this purpose.
The Flight Data GT-50 would also be connected to the hot battery bus in order to keep the clock running. It does not have an internal battery.
The depth of the GT-50 is 0.67".
The GT-50 is FAA Approved and may be installed in certificated non-transport aircraft as a minor alteration and does not require an STC or TSO for the clock feature. Volts and OAT are not a primary replacement and you will need to keep your primary gauges. The FAA approval letter for the clock can be found on the overview page.
No, the OAT probe is not required for the G-Meter to be operational.
This unit will Instantaneous Display to +12/-10 G and records/saves the minimum and maximum recorded values
The GT-50 is a six function unit. It functions as a voltmeter, G meter, clock, timer/stopwatch, and accelerometer.
Per the manual the yellow wire for the light should be connected to your instrument power source so it is powered when the master switch is turned on. See manual for rest color coded wiring. It is posted to the Documents tab.
No. This does not have an audible alarm.
