Q: Does this (part # 10-02083) have a dimming capability? I am interested in dimming the brightness of the EL wire's light.

Yes, this unit does have dimming capability. However, part # 6002 (UMA DIMMER POT 1K OHMS, 5W) must be purchased as well. With the dimming switch 6002, part # 10-02083 does have dimming capabilities. We have added 6002 to the "Accessories" tab for convenience.

Q: Is there a datasheet for this item? What is the current draw?

We have added the Specification and Drawing document to this web page in the "Documents" tab. This includes all available technical information.

Q: Does this The UMA 12-14 Volt Light Inverter have a dimming capability with PWM-type dimmer?

Per the manufacturer, a PWM-type dimmer is not used. The Dimmer Potentiometer used would be UMA# 1G01 1K 5W.

Q: Can two dimming units be controlled with one 1K pot ? My two Cessna electro-luminescence panel areas are approx 42 sq in. The Spec sheet indicates the max surface area is 27 in. per unit.

Per the vendor, "If it is 1K/ 10W pot then yes, our UMA is 1K and 5W."

Q: Will this replace Beechcraft part number 71254-7(X17717) using the original Beechcraft dimmer switches?

This will work with a max of (12) UMA light bezels, this does not have a direct cross over to beechcraft. A 337 form may be necessary.
