I wanted to ask someone today during the pickup...did not, so I will ask now: I plan to use this for the undercarriage of my SUV. I did a lot of research but just want to know what you think of this. I sometimes power wash the undercarriage (when I think SALT has accumulated) and I wonder what you think about LPS 3 standing up to this...just the ocassional power wash. Or is it better to rinse the undercarriage with a normal hosing?
Easy to apply and dries fast
used this product for the past 30 years. Works great and would highly recommend it to anyone trying to control rust. Super product.
I use as rustproofing car drame ans its the best off the world!
Been using LPS 3 for almost 10 years. Best rust inhibitor money can buy. And best of all, it really does what is says it can do. Stays on and is not washed away by rain or slush.
Love this stuff. Has many uses from cable lube and protect-ant for my outdoor car hoist to clean and lube my motorcycle chain. Evaporates off and leaves a waxy lube protection.
Seems to be a great product. I’m using it as a rustproofing on my new Silverado. Time will tell the longevity but it applies well and has good even coverage. I have since used it in 3 more vehicles. Hopefully it last through one winter.
I use Lps 3 to help prevent corrosion on automotive brake lines. Great product, but difficult to find in local stores.
fantastic product. used it to undercoat my 2019 Silverado. time will tell the longevity. great service and fast shipping from aircraft spruce.

LPS 3 cannot be used in the manner described. It can be applied to a dry, rusted surfaces that has had any loosely adhered corrosion removed. It will not convert the rust but will halt further corrosion from occurring. It cannot be painted over.
I believe it would be safe, but it is brown in color and could stain the paint. I would not recommend it for this application.
This product is a common use product, not aviation specific. It does not have a specific approval application guide. You would need to check your engine manual for storage procedures.
Per the manufacturer: it is possible that LPS 3 could transfer to other substrates and the petroleum components could affect some finishes.
Shelf life is 1825 days.
