Reviews

I have used every brand of glue for fabric as in Ceconite, PolyTak and even (Stewarts the worst). Superflite U500 is much easier to work with and lays out better.

Q: For the Superflite U500 adhesive: What is the ratio of the glue to acetone when applying it to a metal frame?

Per Vendor: "On the metal airframe, prior to attaching the fabric, the glue needs to be mixed 2:1 2 parts glue to 1 part acetone. Apply two coats of this glue to the frame and let it dry completely. Then position the fabric and use a mixture of 1:2 (1 part glue to 2 parts acetone) to reactivate the glue on the frame and get the fabric to stick. This same 1:2 mixture should be used for attaching the tapes as well."

Q: Is there a color to U500? Is it transparent?

It is green.
