These English fuel caps are used on most of the worlds super cars and bikes, and some series production aero planes. They are beautifully made in forged and bright anodized aluminum. The high precision and easy to operate mechanism is very secure and non vented. They are designed to keep the fuel in and the water out. The lock is there to ensure that your tank is free from contaminants. Aero caps are used on Adam, CAP, Cirrus, Diamond, Lancair Columbia, Lancair kits, Nemesis, Vans, Velocity and many more aircraft.
Two keys come with the locking version (L). Fixing can be by rivet, bolt, weld or glass in as appropriate. These are flush caps of outstanding quality which are ideal for virtually any homebuilt aircraft. The 300 Series: 3-3/4" OD opening 1-3/4", 6 hole 3" pcd. A37 fits 2" and 2.25" Hoses. *Note: Options Standard No-Lock (S) or Locking (L) |

Newton Aero 300 Locking Fuel Cap Only
Somehow an FBO managed to lose a gas cap for my G3 SR22T so I was suddenly in need of a replacement. This model is a perfect fit. One note, youll likely have to manually reposition the plastic ring in order for it to fit, something that isnt obvious when you look at it, but if you compare it to another one that fits youll see the difference.

Newton Aero 300 Locking Fuel Cap Only
As Robert says, all Cirrus gas aircraft use these 300 series fuel caps. Do not understand Jasons problem. Re locks, replacement numbered locks are often available so as to match an older one. Just quote the number required and request a replacement lock. eg 615.....
All Cirrus Avgas Aeroplanes have used the Newton 300 series fuel cap since DAY 1
Excellent English quality. Stock varies and shipping can be delayed so plan ahead. Repair kits also available through Spruce. Highly recommend.

Either 2" or 2-1/2" I.D. hose can be used on the 05-28653 hose neck.
The only difference is the 05-28653 has a locking cap, and the 05-28659 has a non-locking cap. They do come with mounting hardware (screws & nuts), cork gasket, but not a back flange.
They are two different size caps. In short, the 05-28654 is a much smaller diameter cap than the 05-02650.
This would have a 5.47" Outside Diameter and a 3.27" Inside Diameter.
The cap itself weighs 0.54 LB. The entire assembly including bolts, keys, gasket, and mounting ring is approx 1 LB.
These caps are priced and sold as each.
No, this is an experimental part.
Approx 0.5 lbs.
