This valve appears to be very well made. It has an extra feature not mentioned on the website. There is the ability to preset the opening to a selected angle from 0 degrees thru 90 degrees. This feature can also be removed easily if desired.

Q: Are these miniature fuel valves compatible with av gas?

The manufacturer does not have any documentation for use with av gas, however, there are many Aircraft Spruce customers that use these in experimental aircraft with av gas.

Q: What is the weight of these valves? (ACS cat no 05-12627 & 05-23330)

Approximately 0.40 lbs each.

Q: What is the throw on these valves? 45 degrees, 90 degrees, or...?

90 degrees.

Q: What is the thread specification of PN 05-23330?

This fuel valve will have 3/8" NPT threads.

Q: The overview says the valve is made from forged brass.. what is the ball made of and what type seals are used?

The ball is made of brass and the seals are made of Fluoroelastomer.

Q: What sort of thread is the Mini fuel valve 1/4 05-12627? NPT NPTF BSP?

It is NPT.

Q: It looks like the 1/4 and 3/8 versions are the same dimensions. What are the openings thru the ball or the smallest ID on each one?

The only difference is the size of the female fittings, either 1/4 or 3/8 NPT. The ID on the ball is 3/8.
