This hose did not work for me as a replacment, the female end threads were not cut deep enough into the fitting so it did not tighten up to the original copper flared line on the aircraft. Leaked like crazy and nothing can be done to tighten it. I would not recomend buying this.
Replaced due to rubber cracking at the request of AI. Would not tighten on the flare for aluminum tubing. New replacement has not been reattempted. Will wait until next oil change, but old pressure hose reused and works fine
It appears to be made with a hose material that is designed for vacuum and air only not oil? Hose material appears to be Aeroquip 306
Bought this hose in 2015.for my J3.Had to replace it in 2018.the hose was leaking very bad.Full of weather cracks. You would think that it would last at least 10 years at the price that this hose is sold.
I called the manufacturer (Univair - PMA holder) and they said they DO currently use Aeroquip 306-4 per Piper drawings from the 70s. 306 200psi is clearly stamped on the U71061-000 in my J3. According to Univair, the original PMA drawing (10-14-81) calls for a Stratoflex A3067-1. I called Parker and they said this hose is no longer available.
This part does not use 306-4 tube. Suggest contacting the manufacturer before assuming what materials are used...

Yes, we order this hose under supplier's number U71061-000. It is the same hose as 71061-00.
This assembly uses 306-4 hose, but we do not assemble this unit and can not advise if or how the hose can be replaced.
