All of Aircraft Spruces tubing is high quality stuff. I buy 4130 and aluminum tubing from these guys. Really a good place to buy this type of material.

I bought these to replace my Yakima round roof rack crossbars which were steel and would invariably after 5-6 years have rust poking up through the vinyl coating and end plugs splitting because of the rust. These aluminum tubes are a perfect fit for the roof attachment bracket and the end plugs. I bought the 6 ft., 1.125 OD with 0.125 wall thickness.

The only issue that I have is when I ordered this material (10 pieces) there was not enough stock in Atlanta so the 2 lengths had to come from California . So you held up the order only for a couple days in the mean time one of your people called me (she left me a message) to say that the order was being held up cause not enough stock. I called the next day to see what was going on, your company was going to hold the Georgia material till the California order arrived. This is a bit of inconvenience to me and annoying, I know in todays world everything cant be in one place to be shipped. But I think you should ship what you have wherever it is then make the customer aware whats shipping from where. The only other thing Im not happy with is the wait time on your phones. I am using the 3x .065 wall for alternate air for my aircraft and the quality is great. Tig welding was a breeze due to the .065. Fit up was great and was able to cut with a jigsaw and then grinder with sanding disk with a file for final fit. I got more just to have in stock.

I purchased two 6 lengths of aluminum .500 dia x .035 wall thickness tubing. I was Extremely pleased with the product. The shipping was fast and my biggest concern was for the tubes to be straight. Would have given this a 5. The part was not de burred and had a few sharp edges. Not an issue for those of use that work with metals but maybe for the new hobbyist.

We have been buying this tubing for years. It has always been very consistent in ID and OD. This order was different. The ID is normally .494-.495, but most of these are .490 or so. .005 is not a big deal, but we are reaming the ID to size, and normally take off less than .001. Taking off .006 with a reamer is a mess, and there is a lot of swearing. I compared the markings from the different IDs, and they are the same. The tubing is excellent quality, and we will continue to buy it. Just hoping that this is an isolated run...
