Real fuel tank cap gasket. RG-300 |

I was satisfied with the fuel cap gaskets but I question the shipping cost of $11.00 for two items costing $17.00 and weighing less than 3 ounces. Surly there is a more affordable, purchaser friendly way of doing business.
On Piper Cherokee, a very common application, I found these gaskets to be inferior. There is something wrong with the formulation. From the first they seemed too soft and would not seat properly. They would dish when installed. Finally when they would lay flat, I have found that, after a few months of use cracks are developing around edges. The red rubber ones I have used previously lasted years.
This item does not fit the Piper Cherokee PA28-180G fuel caps. The inside diameter is short.
