Ive been using two of these type of chargers (Model 128CEC1-AA-S3) on experimental airplanes for several years. They definitely increase the life of your battery! . This charger/maintainer will pay for itself given the price of replacement aircraft batteries. I bought the equivalent model charger from Aircraft Spruce a few batteries back, and it has worked great up until it died a few weeks ago. My only issue is with the temperature sensor: my previous battery came with the temperature sensor lead. The new one didnt. Aircraft Spruce is now selling the sensor separately for $23.70 on top of the $270 for the charger itself.

Technically Im sure its a great charger but it only comes as a 110V option so you need to get a stepdown charger here in Australia. Not a deal breaker but disappointing.
