The Short, 14", Flexible VHF Antenna is tuned to the frequency range 118-137MHz for use with airband radios. The antenna is designed for mounting into the metal or composite skin of an aircraft For use in glass fibre structures. the antenna is supplied with a self adhesive aluminium foil ground~plane. To minimise the length of the antenna element. the design incorporates a base tuning coil. The short flexible element makes the antenna suitable for mounting on the nose or underneath many aircraft. The lead is fitted with an FME plug at the antenna feed and a BNC plug for direct connection to a radio. The lead is one metre long (three feet).

Mounted inside fuselage of a S-1S behind the seat, works perfectly!
Lynx Micro Pilot Systems VHF Short Flexible Antenna
Looks like a nice antenna. The dimensions indicate it is 14 tall but with all the base fittings it is about 15-1/2 tall from the mounted surface. Too tall to fit under my turtledeck where I only had 14-1/2 of clearance.

This upgraded the system for my ultralight and is working great! Perfect!

This antenna worked great with my ICOM A25C radio.

Great product. A Lightweight application I need for the Rans S9 Chaos.
Nice installation on my bi-plane.
Easy to install, but panel thickness limited to about 5mm otherwise you cant fit the gasket and skirt on the outside. I added more Aluminium tape for the groundplane- that supplied was probably adequate, but a bit on the sparse side. Pre-terminated cable was very handy. Reception excellent.

The VHF Antenna has a flexible antenna element which screws onto the installed antenna base. This makes it easy to fit and remove.
Yes, this can be used in a fabric aircraft.
Per the installation manual: the maximum is 30 degree bend.
