Q: Is this item threaded fully through at 8-32? So if I replaced the wire lock screw shown in the photo with, for instance, a 2 x 8-32 screw I could thread it in from one end and have it stick out the other end?

Per Vendor: "It is the same thread all the way through. 8-32. So he can use a 8-32 x 2" bolt and thread it all the way through."
