Bonehead Composites created this air scoop to allow the hose to be run off the scoop at various angles. Made out of compressed molded carbon fiber and accepts a 1-3/4" hose, the scoop dimensions are 7.5" x 3-1/8", with a 9/16” flat flange for mounting. Included is a cutout template giving you the ability to place the cut in your desired location.

This is a nice scoop. Came with a pattern. The carbon work is nice on both sides.
Bonehead Carbon Fiber Naca Air Scoop
This is a very well engineered and produced part. It is clever in its design that allows you to position the outlet in any direction to facilitate installation. BTW it came with a template : )
Bonehead Carbon Fiber Naca Air Scoop
Cleverly designed and extremely well produced. This little NACA duct allows you to place the outlet in a variety of orientations to match the direction you wish for your hose to exit. Came with a template for cutting the exterior hole in the skin. Good price for the quality
I would’ve considered giving it five stars but the description shows that there is a template included. It is not. It’s just two pieces tossed in a box. I called the manufacturer and they do not even make a template.
This NACA scoop is misrepresented on the description! It says that a template for the needed cutout was included! This NACA scoop does NOT come with a template to cut the aircraft skin for installation! You will have to do your best to design your own scoop opening and hope it works!! I am more than extremely disappointed that there is no template for this scoop. Even though the description states there is a template included, there is NOT. When I contacted the company for the template, they said they dont include it any more and said it was for locating the duct and not for the NACA opening?? Clearly a template is not needed for locating a duct when you have a duct in hand. Very disappointed!!!!!
