Im pleased with the radio size and quality. The AM/FMchannels work well.clear. the aviation channels work well if you are close enough to the airport . If you purchase this do yourself a favour and throw out the earpiece that comes with it. Cheap set!! Disappointing. I replaced them with a Sony pair from Best Buy for around $35. Amazing diference in the radio opeeation. Night and day !!!

As with any interface that a has limited number of interface buttons, they are required to multitask. Itll take some getting used to but works well. I like the button lock feature that holds your settings while jostling in your pocket. Its a great handsfree option while on the go and busy

Great for my pre flight planning
Airlite Digital Aircraft Radio
Weightless device loaded with features Probably could be designed to fit into ear buds Did not know it was speakerless when I bought it I wanted it to play at my desk as the airport traffic pattern is above it but without speakers I threw it in my drawer I don’t like wires

Nice and small. You need to be close to the airport to receive the frequency

The squelch is either on or off with the airband mode. When it is off there is a large amount of annoying static but when it is on reception is practically nil. AM/FM work fine. Small and lightweight.
Airlite Digital Aircraft Radio
Does not work in aircraft mode when on a airport

Per the manufacturer: The battery life is 4-1/2 hours of reception time on a full charge. This assumes you are not changing the channels. When you change the channel, the backlight comes on briefly, which speeds up the battery consumption a little bit. FWIW, the charging time is ~2 hours.
