This was what I see on the other 150s around when I eyeball them. The specs call for 4 ply. My IA said I could probably do ok with 6 ply but not 8 like on some other planes . Typically I get about 2 years of service out of these. I suspect it may be a function of living in AZ with high summer temps. This last battery I just replaced lasted 20 months and only 81 flight hours on it. I use a concord specific charger and try to keep it charged but Ive never had one go past 3 years. YMMV. Im still waiting on a reply for warranty from Concord/Boeing after 6 weeks. So dont count on a quick response if you make a warranty claim.

All these Leakguard tubes suck. They develop pin holes in them and slow leak. $100 some dollars for a tube that doesn’t last. Years ago the tubes were a fraction of the price and lasted for years. Now they cost as much or more than the tire and often times leak before the tire is shot. Leakguard is just a name and has nothing to do with guarding leaks. Maybe $140 Goodyear tube would be better but I use lots of these Leakguards and they DO NOT LAST.

Immediately after installation an attempt to add air was unsuccessful. Neither an air fitting from compressor or from portable tank would add air, but instead only succeeded in letting all air out for a totally flat tire. Repeated efforts to add air failed so ended up removing fairing and tire for better access to valve. Took tire to another mechanic who had a fitting that would add air, but another would not. It seems the valve stem is too far recessed for most filler fittings to properly engage it. Very inconvenient at the least... hope never need to add air again, especially in a transient situation any attempt could turn into a flat tire.

I have used Goodyear in the past and they hold air better than any other tire/tube combo. During my last annual, I replaced my tires with Goodyear and the passenger side tire had a slow leak. it would lose about 10 lbs in a week. Changed the valve stem and no luck. The inner tube simply has a slow leak that may have eluded their QC. Goodyear will replace the tube however I am stuck with the labor and shipping because of their defective product.
