The Heavy Duty TowBot is the safest way to tow larger utility and cargo aircraft. Heavy Duty TowBots feature gear reduction and a 28 volt DC motor for aircraft towing capability up to 30,000 pounds.

The iTowBot's loading sequence is as easy as driving the unit directly under the nosewheel of your aircraft. The iTowbot is engineered so that when the aircraft loads, the weight of the loaded aircraft does not inhibit its zero-turn capability. This allows the operator to articulate the aircraft in a manner that places it ahead of all other towing equipment. Releasing the aircraft is just as easy. A foot-operated release allows the operator to unlock the swivel carriage and merely back out from beneath the nosewheel. Now the operator can simply drive the unit back to its spot in the hangar....no tugging, pushing or rolling up extension cords required! Trace TowBots offers a precision, ruggedly built towing machine that will allow the user to position aircraft in close quarters with ease. The iTowBot has the ability to rotate the aircraft inside of its own wingspan. With its hybrid zero-turn capability and fully-articulating self-locking carriage, turn limits of the aircraft nose wheel cannot be exceeded.

Optional APU (alternate power unit) adds a built-in 28-Volt Auxiliary Power Plug and Power Cord for running accessories on the ramp or in the hangar.

Q: Does the towbot work on grass?

Per the manufacturer, these have been used on grass but its designed for hangers and performs better on a hard surface.
