I cannot recommend this product enough! Airbly is an incredibly useful addition for GA operations. The support is world class, and the product is great!
Airbly is one of the best aircraft ownership accessories I have ever purchased. The automation of the technical and journey logs made my owner job much easier especially with a number of different pilots using the plane. It helped me automate cost recovery and invoicing as well as flight tracking, reminder emails maintenance alerts and most importantly reducing the phased maintenance requirements due to its accurate recording of air time. It is easy to use, works right out of the box with no wiring and very reliable. Support is excellent. All my pilot users enjoyed and appreciated this system. When it comes time to sell the aircraft the meticulousness of the logs is easy to demonstrate and adds value.
I started using the AirBly technology in the fall of 2020 in preparation for a Digital Aircraft Logbook article, published in COPA Flight Magazine. During the course of using their technology, I found it to be quite accurate, eliminating the math errors associated with a paper journey log. In fact, if all of the pilots flying the aircraft have pilot fobs, AirBly is a set it and forget technology (other than charging). When I had any technical challenges, I found AirBly to be quite responsive and 10 times out of 10 were able to resolve the problem. I really like the maintenance alerts and reminders capabilities (e.g. next oil change, magneto overhaul times, etc). With an Electronic Journey Log in the Cloud and on your smartphone or tablet, youre covered from a possible paper disaster (e.g. your Journey Logbook is lost, stolen, water damaged or held hostage by your AMEs). A great solution for an old school problem.
