Reviews

5052 is the preferred alloy for fuel lines, much stronger than 3003, better in fatigue, and still easy to bend and flare, but more costly. For complicated runs, I make a trial fit with cheap readily available 3003 , then the final with 5052. I have ordered this a few times in 6 or 12 foot lengths, and have allowed it to be coiled to save shipping. Unfortunately, it came coiled (less desireable) but A/C spruces computer doesnt seem to reduce the shipping back down from oversize charges. (So you might want to inquire how to actually save shipping, if you go that route. Doesnt seem automatic.

Just the fitting needed for the application - it had to be steel. A similar aluminum AN fitting might also fit, but it will gall if threaded into a cast aluminum component (like a carburetor or fuel flow transducer). Steel fittings only, for these applications.

Q: It appears to me that the brass nipples have a different angle flare than the blue aluminum AN fittings. I believe the aluminum are standard aircraft 37 degree flare angle. Could you confirm if the brass nipples are also 37 degrees? They look to be a 45 degree flare to me. Thank you.

AN816 nipple fittings are straight NPT at one end and 37 degree flared at the other. All types of AN816 are 37 degree flare.

Q: Does the AN816-6D fitting have a 9/16-18 UNF and 1/4 NPT thread?

Correct, AN816-6D has 9/16-18UNF 37* flare thread on one end, and 1/4" NPT on the other end.

Q: I would like to order some Nipple AN 816 but i cant add in my cart ! It seems its a computer problem ? The items i need are : AN816-6D And AN816-6-6-D Could you help me ?

Please enter the quantity desired in the input box for each size and material, then click add to cart. The system will then add all of the items you requested into your shopping cart.

Q: Speaking of thread sizes, how about the thread sizes (and taps sizes) for the AN816-8D?

The AN816-8D will have two types of threads. One end wilL have 1/2 tube OD in which will be a 3/4-16 thread and the other end is a 3/8 NPT.

Q: I NEED A 90 ELBOS WITH THE SAME MEASURE OF THIS AN816

That would be an AN822.

Q: Are these only for use with metal pipes or are they used with Rubber hose too? If not for use with rubber fuel lines then is there an adapter for Part# 05-00907 (Gascolator mount)?

This could be used with a rubber hose like a 303 but you would need to install the 491 fittings on the hose.
