These work great
No Spill Oil Spout With On-Off Valve
Ideal solution for not spilling oil everywhere. It fits in the oil tube (Lycoming I/O 360) just right so it will stay put while you tend to other things. Dont need the whole quart? Twist to turn back off and leave on the oil container to keep it sealed. I leave mine on an empty bottle anyway to keep it clean.
Bought a used Piper Turbo Arrow IV and this was in the maintenance kit that came with the aircraft. Like the other rater, I had an issue after a few uses...basically the plastic cracked. Back in an earlier life, I used to make plastic injection molds for various parts such as these. One of the biggest problems with plastic is thermal cycling. loses its ductility after a bit. Purchased two more, one to sit inside the hanger and one to sit in the maintenance box in the plane. In terms of how it operates, the few times I used it prior to the plastic fatiguing and ultimately failing, it functioned perfectly. The tight fitting rotating cones when shut prevent any oil flow until you rotate it open. Clever design. Would have given it a five if not for the failure of the one that I received with the airplane. Not certain of the age of mine...but for 7 bucks and shipping...not a bad device.
It is a little too short and very hard to open/close.
No Spill Oil Spout With On-Off Valve
Spout to large for my 0-540 lycoming! Impossible to open and close!
good idea, but mine was not as depicted after three uses, a large 2 crack appeared under the product label. Junk
Piece of crap. Mine is so hard to turn that I need a pair of pliers ! How am I supposed to do that on an upside down quart of oil.
Bought at Oshkosh 2019. Didn’t fit Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 container mouth - spout too small.
