The TH-6 is a light-weight universal towbar designed primarily for hand towing. The TH-6 eliminates the mad hunt for the proper towbar when moving a hangar full of singles and light twins. This towbar also has a good handle for pulling and a ring ,ball or clevis hitch for occasional light towing. NOTE: The piper manual states that the tow pins are for hand towing. For powered towing we suggest adapter set P/N 13-15488. |

Very nice adjustable tow bar although a bit heavy for this LSA (VL3). Wish a lighter version would be available
Brackett Th-6B Towbar With Ball Hitch
Works great for towing our Piper PA28-180 in and out of our hangar with a lawn tractor.
Using to tow 1980 Piper Saratoga fixed gear PA32-301T it works as intended - think these things are overpriced but with no alternatives I suppose it isnt It works
Excellent Towbar. I ran a business for 16 years and a TH-5 was a daily user and I was never disappointed. The TH-6 looks like a formidable replacement. I am no longer in business, but badly miss my TH-5. So I ordered this replacement for my personal use, towing my Piper Comanche. It works great, its light weight makes it easy to use and it is up to the task. I recommend this towbar
Super quality towbar. Very heavy and as far as Im concerned for vehicular use only. Pulling with tug is easy. Pushing is tough and takes practice. I did know what I was buying before had and this is a must towbar for folks who use them a lot.
This is the 4th Brackett tow bar that Ive purchased over the past 20 years. Disappointed that the TH5B was discontinued and replaced with the TH6. The TH6 lacks the sturdy feel of the TH5, especially when the bar is opened wide. You can see the reasoning in the change: fewer parts, easier to manufacture, cheaper to make. In execution however one gets the sense that they overpaid for the TH6, whereas the TH5 felt like a relative bargain. Will it work? Yes. Would I recommend it over a TH53 or a used TH5B? No.
It doesn’t work well in reverse.

Yes, the TH-6 is a replacement for the TH-5 towbar.
No, for a tow ball hitch, order part # 13-18548.
No additional adapters are needed for that aircraft.
This has a 2" ring so you would use one smaller than 2".

Yes you would need two of the T-N182 adapters (13-16106.)
Yes, this will work but the right adapter is necessary, see part # 13-10089.
Yes, part # 13-18547 is the towbar only. Part # 13-16106 is the correct adapter.
