How can you give anything but a 5 star rating to a $7.80 switch? So, I’ll use this opportunity to give Aircraft Spruce a 5 star rating in general. I have ordered many parts from them for my Cessna 150F (Plane Jane) and have always received the correct, quality part promptly. I have also appreciated being able to call them for assistance in choosing the correct product for my aircraft.

On. Off. It does both! Does this mean it’s a multifunction switch? No worries. I put it in over a year ago and it’s worked flawlessly.

Switch has strong toggle action that is crisp. Price is great , would be nice if it also included anti -rotate locking tab washer.

Be careful to install these switches without stressing the contacts. The rivets will become loose and the switch will be intermittent.

The width of the double pole switches is approximately 3/4".

Q: What is the difference in part numbers #12-202, #12-203, and #12-204?

These are all double pole switches. The difference is in the operation. () means momentary, so 12-202 is ON-ON, 12-203 is ON-OFF-ON, and 12-204 is (ON)-OFF-(ON).

Q: Are these single throw or double throw please?

There is a drop down selection box to first select if you want single pole or double pole, the second box is where you select the model, ie OFF-ON, OFF-(ON), etc

Q: Are these metal lever toggle switches FAA approved for certified aircraft?

No, for certified please consult with your local avionics shop.

Q: What is the difference between simple and double pole?

Single pole option is a switch that controls one path. A double pole switch is a single switch that controls two paths.

Q: Does the () parenthesis on part number 12-101 that the switch is only ON when holding in the ON position? By releasing does it go automatically into the OFF position? The idea is to use it for a primer and avoid to turn on the primer by activating the switch accidentally.

Correct, The () means the momentary position. The 12-101 is an OFF-(ON) switch. The lever stays in the off position unless it is toggled to the opposite position, and will return to the off position once it is released.
