50 or so years ago I was told, by a seasoned mechanic, to get this kind and I did but not the 1/4-20 I now also have. I picked this one because of the ease of using the others and the fact that you can use it in a relatively small space. I also have the competitions smaller kind but they are too hard to use and strain the hand. Now Im up to date rivnut wise. Just wish it was cheaper.
Works great, can see it’s strong, quality workmanship and built to last.
Great for tight places!
I have both the 6-32 and 8-32 tools. I do not know much about working with this sort of tool but I can get both to work well for me so that suggests something good.
A well made, quality tool that easily set my 8-32 aluminum rivnuts.
This may work, but it doesnt seem to have an economy price!
Found this item to be defective when I attempted to use it for the first time. The jack screw was binding and would not turn smoothly into the anvil assembly. Yes, it was greased before first use. I had also ordered an 8-32 tool at the same as this 6-32 tool. The 8-32 tool operated just fine. I am returning the 6-32 tool for replacement.
