Avery Hole Flanging Tool
Works well to form a flange as long as you dont plan to do more than 1 or 2 *ever*. If youre going to be putting lightening holes in a bunch of ribs, look for something else. When using this tool, it helps if you keep the tool stationary (clamp in vise) and rotate the part through the tool, applying pressure to the back side of the hole so that the flange stays in place as you move it through.
Seems to work well. It does require a little patience. It’s might be slow but does a nice flange especially on small holes 1 1/2” or larger. Don’t force the bend and work slowly.
This tool is a quality piece, however, it is almost impossible to make a nice looking flange with it. Best suited for dressing up a slightly damaged flange on material no thicker than .032
It may be a qualitity tool but the application of it is very imprecise. Do not waste your money on it.
This is a pretty inadequate tool. I had only two holes to flange and so thought I’d give it a try. It’s use is tedious and, in my experience, produces poor flanges. I bought the Flanger-360 which produces a perfect flange the first time. I do not recommend this tool.
