Works fine for my c172 12v system. Downloaded datalogs from my avidyne IFD to send to avidyne for analysis. Took about 25 minutes on ground power. Good unit!

Works great! Charges my battery and upon reaching full charge it goes automatically into maintenance mode. Mine services flood batteries, as well as AGM/GEL batteries (like the one in my aircraft).

Super happy with this power supply plug. Our intended use is for training on new avionics in the hangar. Works great, price is right.

Although I was only going to be using this unit as a power source so that I could run my new all glass panel on the ground, I read the previous reviews that talked about static in the audio when using the system. Since that did not apply to me I bought it anyway and use it as I intended to up grade the software without running down my battery. I have found however that I have NO static or audio problems when using this unit like some others have reported. Works great, I love it!

Q: What is the amperage out put?

This is a 12V / 25 Amp battery charger. We requested the information from the manufacturer and they directed us to the specification sheet. You can find this in the "Documents" tab or by clicking here.

Q: Is just the plug (red part) of this portable power supply available for purchase separately?

Yes, see our part # 11-03158 for the plug only.

Q: Light aircraft systems are 14v or 28v. This product is rated at 12v and its big brother at 24v. Will the 12-14v and 24-26v discrepancies lead to aircraft systems damage?

No, the 12 volt version can be used on 14 volt systems without damaging the system. Same goes for 24 volt version on 28 volt aircraft systems.

Q: Does this 12 volt portable power supply charge the battery, act as a power supply, and crank assist?

The three port adapter will power the panel, the alligator clips will charge the battery but will not do crank assist.

Q: What is the input voltage?

It is 120 or 240, it is auto sensing.

Q: Are the the alligator clips for charging the battery included?

Yes the battery clip adapter is included.

Q: How many volts does the 12 volt unit put out?

Cyclic voltage for flooded batteries is 2.47v and 2.4v for agm and gell batteries.

Q: Will this power the avionics on a c172M thru the Auxiliary port?

Yes, this fits the 3 pin auxiliary power port on most Cessna aircraft.

Q: Does this work on bonanzas as well? 1969 V35A

It will work with any aircraft that has the cessna style plug. We recommend checking the charger port on your aircraft to see if it has the 3 pin style Cessna style receptacle.
