Whelen A469A Strobe Tube Assembly. |

Product arrived as promised and works great.
Product was what was advertised. However, turned out to be the original capacitive power supply failed, not the xenon bulb, although the tube was blackened. Wound up going with the Whelen LED beacon replacement instead and sure wish I had gone that route to begin with! Low amp draw, super bright and will probably last the life of the plane. Was able to use the original Whelen strobe mount in the tail cap as well as the original wiring with some modifications.
Although I wished the price was lower, a very simple process to replace. Great quality.
Bulb would not fit. With bulb installed cover would not go on as bulb was too tall.

No, this is not a shielded flash tube. The shielded flash tube is the A469AD, our part number 11-03710.
The A469A is an older version without a reflective base like the A469B.
We believe you would want part # 11-03225 for a HRCFAS assembly.
This requires a power supply box so the aircraft's voltage doesn't effect it.
