Reviews

I bought this unit to replace an old earlier model which quit working. The new unit works fine, and was easy to install. The added feature of being able to plug in a cell phone is very useful. Before I got this unit, I was unable to make phone calls from my plane due to the high noise level.

Be aware this unit will not work in a 2 stroke Rotax powered ultralight. The high-pitched whine of the engine will overload the VOX circuitry, and you will not be able to communicate with your passenger. Works great, however, in regular four stroke powered aircraft.

It worked for a few days, then left me in a bad spot. After I had it next day aired so Id have an intercom:-( Pilot and passenger cant communicate, and only pilot can transmit. Put fresh batteries in same result. I will try to return it.

Q: I would like to find out where to obtain the male plug for the PTT in.

Per the manufacture they recommend the PA-50 11-07712. This will go inline between the headset and the intercom and the mic/headphone plugs from the intercom will plug directly into the panel. If you want the direct plug in you can try the Sigtronics PTT part number 11-02806.

Q: Does the Pilot USA PA-200T intercom use standard jacks to plug into the panel?

Yes, this intercom is intended for use in aircraft equipped with standard dual GA jacks. It is also intended for use with standard dual GA plug headsets.

Q: Can I plug this into a portable radio GA headset adapter?

Yes, this can be used with a handheld adapter.

Q: Will using a PTT switch override the VOX function?

This unit has two PTT ports on the mic plug
