This is an excellent cleaner. I sand with 320 grit, clean off the residue, and then scrub with this cleaner. After a rinse, its ready for priming or alodining.

Bonderite C-Ic 33 Aero - Alumiprep 33 Gallon

Alumiprep is outstanding. It cleans aluminum perfectly. Takes the paint off and makes a much better surface to prime. It is amazing how dirty parts are. Ones that look clean arent. This stuff does the trick, but it is shipped hazardous. It was expensive and slow to receive. Order early if you need it.

Works quickly and thoroughly. Used to prep machined aluminum parts prior to alodine 1201 treatment and the results were outstanding.

Worked great! Had a spider from an older HE3 Whirlpool Front Load washer go bad. Got a good used one that needed a good cleaning. Afterwards a basic wash in C-IC 33 AERO to remove whatever it removes :-) and water no longer beaded, and coated it in enamel to protect against corrosion as recommended by other techs. Well see how long this one lasts!
