This heat shield is placed on exhaust where fuel lines, cable, etc. are close to exhaust and where heat may be a problem. Mounts with stainless radiator type clamp (not included). Fits exhaust pipes up to 2.5” diameter. Very popular on RV’s and other homebuilt aircraft. |

Well made part. You can tell it is for experimental aircraft only. Because the quality is far better than any heat shield I have used on a certified aircraft.
Really good quality. For Experimental Aircraft only. Quality is far better than you would get for a certified aircraft.
This well-made heat shield was EXACTLY what I was looking for to clamp to my 2 motorcycle exhaust pipe, to prevent direct contact of my boot heel to the exhaust. Aside from using my own hose clamps (which I happened to already have), I further insulated both the shields and the clamps from the exhaust tubing by placing strips of hi-temp silicone between these and the tubing (basically encircling the exhaust tubing), so that there is NO metal-to-metal contact, thereby increasing the overall insulating effects. Item was delivered to my here in Nor Cal within days of placing my order. Thank you!!!
Good quality, fits around standard pipe.

The single exchaust heat shield is 2-1/2" and the double exhuast heat shield is 5" long. Part number 08-07352 is approximately 4-1/2" long and made by a different manufacturer.
These units do not have holes, they are actually rivet heads. There is a short bracket, low profile, bracket that is riveted on so you can use a hose clamp to attach these shields to your exhaust tube.
The shield is aluminum, the tang where it mounts to the exhaust is stainless.
No, this is intended for use in experimental aircraft only.
